The Breakoff 2011 weekend

This weekend is finally winding down, and with it the culmination of a years work of planning for the Breakoff 2011. Hopefully everybody who came down had a good time despite the crappy weather. Shout outs to our judges, preselects, the band, and our winners Domkey, for the 1v1s, and Knox for the toprock 7tosmoke.

Really glad that I had a chance to chill with Lethal and the rest of Supernaturalz. They had a lot of good things to say about breaking and just planning a jam in general. Hopefully, we can keep what was good about this jam and tinker with what didn’t work so that next year’s is way doper. That’s not up to me of course, but I’m sure the new generation is up to the task.

Speaking of generations, it was good to see our alums come back for this jam. I know we didn’t see much of each other cause we were running around, but it was good to have the gang back, if only for this weekend.

It’s starting to feel like the Breakoff is starting to attract a lot more bboys from outside the area of Baltimore, and that’s great. I just hope we’ll be able to keep things fresh for years to come.
